The migration of the Geography Department from the ETS/Connect/Office365 platform to the ETS/Connect/GAFE email service for the evening of Tuesday, August 11th. At 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 11th, 2015 please stop using your email on your mobile devices as well as your computers. We expect that by 8:00 A.M. of the next day, Wednesday the 12th, 2015 you will be able to log into your Connect account on Google Web App (GWA):

However, configuring your email client and phone SHOULD NOT BE DONE UNTIL AUGUST 12th after 8:00 a.m.!
4. Any message "rules" (aka "filters"), email signatures, or forwarding records you may have cannot be migrated, so please take note of those now and recreate them following the migration. We recommend simply copying your signature, and saving this to a text file.
5. If you are currently using a personal address book with your email, you may want to export your contact list(s)/address books ahead of the migration, so that you may easily import them into Connect/GAFE after the migration. For example, here are some instructions for Outlook to export your contacts:

6. All messages and folders in your Connect account will be migrated to Google Apps. If you have contacts or messages stored locally, rather than your Connect account, use your current email client to access them.
7. Do not delete or move large numbers of messages, or delete or rename folders, for at least one day before the August 11 migration date. This will make sure that large-scale folder changes are fully processed in Office365 before 5:00 P.M. on the 11th.
8. Passwords for “functional” email accounts like “” will be preserved during the migration.
9. For those of you using Outlook for Windows as an email client, please do not install the necessary Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook (GASMO) plugin until after the migration at 8:00 a.m. For those of you not using Outlook software as a mail client, you may have to change the incoming/outgoing email server settings in your email account preferences, post-migration. Please take some time to peruse the specific email software client that you use, on the ETS/Connect Google Apps Client Options page:

10. After the migration on the morning of the 12th, it may take a while to fully sync thousands of mails to your email client software installations; please be patient with that procedure. In the meantime, we recommend that you use the Google Web App (GWA) as mentioned above until the sync completes.

Also, please refrain from attempting to set up your email software client with the new Connect server settings BEFORE the migration takes place, as this has been shown to also corrupt account migrations.
