How do I set up Google Voice on my Connect Account

  1. On your computer, open Google Voice.
  2. Sign in with your UCSB Google Account (ex. joegaucho@ucsb.edu) This will be your UCSBnetID@ucsb.edu

  3. Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

  4. Choose I want a new number.

  5. Add a forwarding phone number.

  6. Have Google call the number to verify that you own it.

  7. Search by city or area code for a Google Voice number. Google Voice doesn't offer 1-800 numbers.
    • If there aren't any numbers available in the area you want, try somewhere nearby.

      Choose the number you want, and click Continue. Then, follow the onscreen instructions.
